Counselling vs Coaching

What is the difference between counselling and coaching?

COUNSELLING focuses on past trauma and emotional difficulties.

The counsellor is there to help the client to overcome past-oriented problems. Counselling typically focuses on discovering WHY the problem exists.

COACHING uses direct questioning to assist a client in moving towards their goals, desires and outcomes. Coaching is future-oriented and focuses on HOW the client can achieve their goals.

My approach is eclectic and solution focused and will be adapted to best suit your needs. I offer a platform to explore how your thoughts and language affect your behaviour and emotions, to empower you to become the creator of your future.

Whatever past pain is holding you back is only the memory of it and not the pain itself.

In creating a well formed outcome, you can choose to create a better future for yourself.
